Troopers: Man committed assault with baseball bat – New York News

MAYFIELD — A man is accused of assaulting someone with a baseball bat on July 4, New York State Police said.

Perry A. Dwyer, 31, of Yates Road, has been charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Dwyer was in an altercation on July 4 with neighbors on Yates Road, left the scene, and then “then returned with a baseball bat, resulting in a verbal and physical fracas,” state police said. Someone was struck with the bat and taken to the hospital, state police said.

Dwyer was arraigned in Town of Mayfield Court and sent to Fulton County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail or $30,000 bond.
