Albany police: Man shot on Clinton Avenue, went to Central Avenue for help – New York News

Albany police are investigating after a man was shot Sunday afternoon on Clinton Avenue.

Officers responded at about 4 p.m. to the 400 block of Central Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim, 20, with a single gunshot wound to his torso, police said.

An initial investigation determined the man was shot on the 700 block of Clinton Avenue, then went to Central Avenue seeking help, police said. He was treated on the scene, then taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The incident is still under investigation, and police are asking anyone with information to call 518-462-8039.
