CLIFTON PARK-HALFMOON LIBRARY: The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library and the Friends of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library are co-sponsoring “An Afternoon with Author Nicole C. Kear” on Sunday, July 16, at 1 p.m. at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library, 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park. Kear learned at a young age she was going to lose her eyesight. Rather than let this define her life in terms of loss, she made it a catalyst for all that she could do and wanted to do in life. “Now I See You,” her best-selling memoir, is being made into a movie starring Emma Roberts and the author. Service organizations and Library resources for the visually impaired will be available. Books will be available for purchase at the program by The Open Door Bookstore. Ms. Kear will be signing books after the program. The CPH Friends will provide refreshments.

CONGRESS PARK CONCERT SERIES: Skippy and the Pistons, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy free music in Historic Congress Park at the War Memorial, directly across from the Canfield Casino.
