Years ago, I read an article about a lady who owned a rickety, old barn that needed to be torn down, but didn’t have the money to do it. She prayed and asked the Lord to take down the barn. One day she went outside, and the barn had collapsed down to the ground.
A few years ago, I had a large, old tree that you could wrap three people’s arms around the lower trunk of the tree. I asked the Lord to take the tree down — as it was very ugly looking, with three very large sections of growth — and not hit my home or anything else.
in winter, the first section came down to the left, behind my home. Then spring time, the second section came down directly behind the home. The third section fell to the right behind my home. The whole oak tree was down, but my husband wanted to go to a motel because he was so shaken by the impact. It was truly a miracle what God can do without touching our home, trees, vehicles or anything else.
On June 28, I was impressed to ask for prayer at Bible class for protection. I drove home and had not left my car yet when a large limb from a maple tree came crashing down about four feet from my car into two great big pieces.
At that point, I prayed, “God, you took down the lady’s barn, the oak in my backyard and the maple branch that fell by my car. I know you can remove the large branch overhanging my home of the same maple tree to avoid a lot of damage.”
