Celebrity clientele at Deepcover, LIer’s ’80s and ’90s vintage shop – New York News

To William Wagner, 27, of Bellmore, the ’80s and ’90s are the olden days. He’s parlayed his version of ancient history into a robust business on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, where hipsters, millennials and even celebrities flock to buy from his collection of primarily men’s fashion. The appeal? “It reminds people of a time when life was simpler and less stressful,” Wagner says. He opened his store, Deepcover, about a year and a half ago after spending a “lifetime” collecting. “I didn’t have a lot of money growing up so when I saw people wearing stuff I wanted, I thought, ‘I got to figure out a way to get this.’”
