Wilton man charged with robbery, assault – New York News






MALTA, N.Y. >> A Wilton man robbed a person then held the victim out a vehicle’s window, Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies said.

Benjamin J. Deeb, 37, of Wilton, was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree assault, all felonies.

Deputies said the robbery happened in town on July 6. Deeb stole property after threatening the victim with a firearm, deputies said.

Deeb — while being aided by another person — then held the victim out a window as the vehicle drove down the road, deputies said.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Deeb was arraigned in Ballston Town Court, and held in lieu of bail to reappear in Malta Town Court at a later date.

Shane R. Irish, 31, of Greenwich, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony.

Irish was driving his truck while Deeb held the victim out a window, according to reports.
