SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Citing the growth of their cold-pressed juice business, Christel and Colin MacLean have decided to put their restaurant up for sale.
The MacLeans have owned Circus Cafe on Broadway for 13 years but decided to put it on the market in order to focus on the Saratoga Juice Bar. According to a news release, Circus Cafe is listed for sale at $475,000. Realty Saratoga is handling the sale.
“We have loved every moment of the experience and are grateful to have a profitable, fun business to sell,” Colin MacLean said.
Open since May 1, 20014, the Circus Café has offered what the owners describe as “festive American” cuisine, a theatrical French Circus-themed ambience bar and late night experience to locals and visitors.
“We are proud to have been a consistent ‘best of’ winner in the categories: Family Friendly, Burger, Happy Hour, Karaoke, Trivia and Casual Dining over the years,” said Christel MacLean.
Colin MacLean said while they hope whoever buys the restaurant keeps the Circus Cafe in place, they recognize new owners could turn the restaurant into their own, unique business.
The Saratoga Juice Bar’s rapid growth and expansion have played a role in the decision to sell the restaurant, the MacLeans said. Part of the juice bar’s production takes place in Los Angeles, and the MacLeans said they want to explore “the west coast relationships we have been establishing.”
