Spa City forum planned on senior issues – New York News

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Several elected officials from both parties, including U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, will attend a Sept. 18 forum on senior citizens’ issues at Empire State College, the Saratoga Springs Mayor’s Senior Advisory Committee announced.

The meeting will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the college building at 2 Union Ave. The forum is free.

Those expected to attend include Tonko, D-Amsterdam; state Sen. Kathy Marchione, R-Halfmoon; representatives of state Sen. James Tedisco, R-Glenville, and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, D-Round Lake; Saratoga County Supervisors Matthew Veitch and Peter Martin; Mayor Joanne Yepsen; city Public Safety Commissioner Chris Mathiesen; and Commissioner of Public Works Anthony Scirocco.

The officials will address questions raised by the advisory committee members and  by the audience. Kathleen Fyfe, vice-president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, will moderate.
