Man found burned in Glen Cove wooded area, Nassau cops say – New York News

Officers responding to a 911 call for an aided case found a man in a wooded area near the Glen Cove train station Tuesday who had suffered “serious” burns to his legs, police said.

Police could not immediately describe the circumstances of the injury, but said the case was under investigation.

The incident was reported at 5:58 p.m., Glen Cove police said. Responding officers found the man in an area west of the Long Island Rail Road station, north of Duck Pond Road between Norfolk Lane to the east and Pearsall Avenue to the west.

Photos showed police investigators on the scene at midnight.

Nassau County police said the man, whose identity was not released, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
