Bennett showed care for health issue – New York News

I want to commend late Schenectady Public Safety Commissioner Wayne Bennett for the quick action he took on the pigeons living in a vacant house next door to me. The nasty pigeons were defecating on my roof, so I was constantly cleaning the droppings — a very unsanitary way to have to live.

I dealt with the city for three years, so it was a blessing for him to act so quickly. He said, “No one should have to live like that.” I will forever be appreciative of him for his compassion about my concerns.

He dealt with it right away. Within about three days, the house was boarded up. Pigeons left. No more problem.

He showed compassion for my concern. He was a very special man to address my concerns so quickly.

So sorry for our loss.
