Kevin Corrado named new publisher at The Saratogian – New York News

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Kevin Corrado, the former publisher of the New Haven Register, has been named publisher of the The Saratogian.

Corrado will oversee operations at the Saratogian and the other New York properties of Digital First Media, which include: the Daily Freeman, of Kingston; Oneida Daily Dispatch; and The Record, of Troy.

His management duties will also extend to Digital First Media news properties in Massachusetts, including The Lowell Sun and Fitchburg’s Sentinel & Enterprise.

Digital First Media recently decided to consolidate management structure in New York and Massachusetts.


Corrado is a veteran industry executive, with most of his 32 years in journalism.

“We have a huge responsibility for local journalism, and that energizes me every single day,” he said.

Corrado has been in Connecticut for the last three years as publisher of the New Haven Register. He also led operations at The Register Citizen, The Middletown Press, Connecticut Magazine and Digital First Media’s portfolio of Connecticut weeklies.

Before his work in Connecticut, he served as publisher at New England Newspaper Inc., which included The Berkshire Eagle, in Berkshire County, Mass.; The Bennington Banner, in Bennington, Vt.; The Brattleboro Reformer, in Brattleboro, Vt.; and The Manchester Journal, in Manchester, Vt.

Corrado previously was publisher for the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter and Bay Publications, which was owned by Gannett Co. Inc.
