Avramidis stellar in goal for Schenectady in scoreless draw – New York News

Schenectady and Bethlehem battled to a a 0-0 draw in Suburban Council boys’ soccer play Friday. Mike Avramidis recorded a 10-save shutout for the Patriots.

Ryan Edwards recorded a hat trick to lead Schalmont over Cohoes 7-1 in a Colonial Council match. Gerson Agreda had two goals, while Luca Santabarbara added a goal and two assists.

Cobleskill-Richmondville shut out Catholic Central 5-0. Jack Pryor tallied a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs.

Albany Academy beat Voorheesville 2-0. George Ware and Niko Moutopoulos had goals for the Bears. Moutopoulos added an assist.

Blake Leonard had a goal and an assist to lead Broadablin-Perth to a 2-0 Foothills Council win over Glens Falls. Ian Halloran recorded a 10-save shutout for the Patriots.

Nick Budesheim score twice, propelling Schuylerville over Johnstown 5-0. Derek Baldwin, Jared Gregorek and Matt McCarthy also had goals for the Black Horses.

Hudson Falls topped Amsterdam 4-2. Vinne Canale-Rouse, Michael Hunt, Carter Lewis and Ryan Melucci each scored for the Tigers. Kevin Vargas assisted on both Amsterdam goals.

Alex Ringer scored twice to lead Mayfield over Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons 5-1 in Western Athletic Conference action. Ringer also had an assist, while Daniel Leach picked up a goal and an assist for the Panthers.

Jake Restivo and Erik Matthews each scored twice to guide Galway over Mekeel Christian Academy 5-1. Rest­ivo also assisted on a goal by Josh Sheeren.

Middleburgh beat Canajoharie 1-0. Peyton Olsen scored the game-winner around 10 minutes into the second half, assisted by Brent Hirsch.
